Question:

Question: Which storage/ device would be recommended moving for my 57GB of Photos library from old MBP?

Hello,

I found I have 57GB of Pictures > Photos Library from my old MBP 2010. Which device/ storage would you recommend to use moving 57GB pictures to?

(I tried to use this old MBP 2010, but its battery level is 0% (with Replace now message) even when charging. I decide to move all the photos before this old MBP is dead or all the files can be lost.)

I have 1TB G-Drive and new MBP 2017 (with storage of 250GB) so far. Are there other storage/ device I can think of as options? Which storage/ device could be recommended moving 57GB to? I still use some of photos from there...

Thanks in advance for help!

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2), iPhone 8 Plus

Any external drive with the file system format MacOS Extended (Journaled) or APFS will do, if it used a wired connection (USB, Thunderbolt). You cannot use a NAS. See; Where is it save to store a Photos Library? Requirements for the external drive

Use the drive with the fastest connection you have.
