This device not supported by this iphone

I updated my software on my iPhone 8 yesterday. Now when I try using the lighting to 3.5 mm adapter it plays for a minute and i receive a message “this device is not supported by this iPhone”. The adapter is 3 weeks old, bought from an Apple store. I need this working today. Please advise

Apple lightning to 3.5mm worked iPhone 7 not 12 ? Last year, bought from Amazon an Apple brand (and packaged) lightning to 3.5mm adapter. Worked on various family iPhone7s. Not working now that we've upgraded to 12s. Have tried the various reboots etc from generic help places. On one 12 , it works for a couple minutes then stops, on another never works at all . Do we need to buy new adapters ? thanks

Lightning to 3.5mm adapter not working Sup, so I have an IPhone 11 and a lightning to 3.5 adapter which came in a box with my old iPhone 7. It worked fine with iPhone 7 and other iPhones but it is not working with iPhone 11. I plug it in, connect headphones, listen to music for a minute or so and then there’s a notification on my screen that says “this device is not supported by your phone” what is the problem? And is there a solution? Or should I buy a new adapter?
