Can I have the student discount in a store located in the USA if I am a student in the UK?

I am a student in a british university and I want to know if the discount is applicable for me. In addition, does anyone knows if my mother can buy the computer for me and use the discount?

You should be able to get the discount provided you have a valid university photo ID. Your mother is not eligible to use your discount even with your ID.
