iBooks markups dissapearing!!!!!

I made a s*** ton of notes on my PDFs in Ibooks for my tests and after a day they have all dissapeared. I want this to be resolved!!!!

Problem of using Preview Im having some problem with Preview lately where I cant see my editing on the PDF slides when i open it next day on my mac or iPad, its like parts of my notes are gone like it is half way done. Im sure that i have saved the file every time, this has become a big trouble for me especially I'm doing online classes now and I'm relying on Preview to jot down my notes. At first, i thought it was software issue or iCould problem, then i upgraded my old mac to latest version (Big Sur) but the problem still exist. Could anyone help me out on this or anyone is facing similar problem?

Sierra 10.12 Preview used open and to edit a pdf. Notes not saved Notes created then saved back to pdf format are not able to be read when opened in Abobe Reader or Preview. Reading feedback on the comminity pages, this seems to be a common problem. I am trying to edit a pdf that was sent to me. Highlights saved ok. The issue is with annotation in note boxes.

Yesterday, I annotated a PDF with notes in the little yellow boxes. Today I am unable to see these notes. When I click View, Highlights and Notes, only the small yellow boxes are visible but not the text inside them. Anyway to get my notes back? I was using Preview. MacOS Big Sur.
