Space issue on time capsule

Hello,

I am using a Time Capsule on which I perform a time machine. Yesterday, it was impossible to perform the latest backup because of space issue. I erased the HDD, however, when I try to perform a backup on the empty time capsule, it cannot do it because "not enough free space"...

Could you help me with this?

Thank you

How did you erase the hard disk?

You MUST do it via airport utility.. using the erase disk function.. not disk utility.

If you did it from airport utility check the free space on the disk is what you expect.

eg.. this is a 2TB TC disk with some backups. It should show full 2TB when newly erased.

What OS are you running on the computer and how big is the hard disk? Are you trying to include an external drive which is very large?

How much space is TM saying it needs?
