how to take and print a screen shot

I have a Macbook pro OS El Capitan v10.11.6 and am trying to take a screenshot or better still print the screen I am seeing on a webpage like Safari . Thanks

If you want to print the entire web page, the File-Print works great. If you want to only print what you see on the screen, then use the Command-Shift-4 command as mentioned above. Your cursor will become a + sign. Just drag the box around the area you want to print. The file is saved on your desktop. Double click on the file and then you can print it.
