Your response is totally undignified. But I'll answer this anyways because this thread came up in a Google search and I assume others with the same problem will end up here.

This does appear to be software related. However, some people have indicated based on the randomness of the issue it may be interrelated with a hardware problem on the affected phones. It is impossible to tell for sure at this point without Apple acknowledging it.

I was on a call with Apple support yesterday who said they were aware of the issue and are now looking for a fix. No more information was available to him.

P.S. There have been many people who have taken their phone into an Apple Store and had it replaced. This may have been before the issue was well known. Can't hurt to try if it is causing you significant headache.
