On the phone: Settings/iCloud. Tap on Find my iPhone. Turn it off. Enter the password for the Apple ID that was used to enable it.


Not on the phone: Open a web browser. Go to https://icloud.com/find. Click on the list of devices. Click Lost Mode, then Remove from Account.


In either case, you need to know the Apple ID and password used to enable Find my iPhone.
