SD Card Not Mounting

My SD card from my camera is not mounting to my MacBook. All my other memory cards work fine and the card is my friends and works fine on his computer... He may be on PC, not sure if thats an issue as i would imagine format would be compatible on both, I'm not sure how i can check this?

Macbook Pro running Sierra 10.12.1

Card is a 64GB not sure if that makes an issue, other cards i have are 32 or 16.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

FCPX can see my SD card as a device but does not read it! I changed my MacBook Pro 2 weeks ago. I have been editing on FCPX for years and never had an issue. I did not change my camera nor did I change the format. All was working fine with my old MacBook Pro. What happens now is that I insert my SD card in the reader (new readers because the new MBP have no side SD card slot). I can see the content in Photos but not in FCPX. I tried more than one type of card reader so it's not the reader (at least I think) Am I missing something? I work on FCPX 10.4.9. Anybody have this issue? How did you fix it? Thank you Lionel

XQD card reader not working on my MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2016 I have a camera which only uses the XQD memory card. I purchased 5 different XQD card readers that are compatible with my Mac (USB-C) port. When I insert them into the mac, it does not recognize it or even load it. I tried opening up image capture to see if it would recognize it there and it does not. I tried doing it on my friends laptop to see if that was the issue and it does not work on her mac either. windows laptops it seems to be okay but mac laptops seem to not recognize the XQD card or reader. It is frustrating because I have thousands of photos that I can not get off my memory card. regular SD cards work but unfortunately as I said earlier, my Nikon camera does not take SD memory cards, only XQD memory card. Is there something I am doing wrong? One thing that works in the meantime is plugging my camera in directly to my laptop and transferring the photos over that way, but it takes a long time and it also means I am unable to use my camera while I wait hours for the photos to transfer over. Any advice would help. Thank you!

exFAT formatted SD card cannot be read on my IMAC running 10.13.6 I have an SDXC card ( used for a camera) that cannot be read and mounted on my MAC Book pro retina 13 inch early 2015 while it can be mounted on an old IMAC running 10.11.6. What can be done to be able to mount it on my MAC book pro ?
