Downloading info from broken iPhone

I have an old iPhone 5c that is so badly cracked that I cannot use the screen. I want to download the old music and pics from it. I do not want to restore b/c that will delete everything which is completely defeating the purpose. I tried putting it in recovery mode but it did not help. Is there any way that I can gain access to the contents of my iPhone without using my screen?
