Apple Script Pages: Insert text at specific location

Hello everyone,

I would like to simplify my daily workflow with Apple Script but unfortunatelly I got stuck with a basic operation.

Let's say that I have a Pages document filled with text and the text is divided into several paragraphs.

Now what I would love to do is to insert "xyz text" before the first word of every paragraph and "xyz text2" after the last word of every paragraph.

That is all I need. It sounds very simple however I am not able to achieve it.

Would anyone be so kind and help me writing the script? 🙂

set preamble to "xyz text "

set epilog to " xyz text2"

tell application "Pages"

tell front document

tell body text

repeat with p in paragraphs of it

set first word of p to preamble & first word of p

set last word of p to last word of p & epilog

end repeat

end tell
