How do I get my emails to download?

About a month ago I just randomly stopped recieving emails on my iPhone. If I go to iCloud.com and sign in on a pc it shows how many I have unread but non of them populate on the screen.

why don't all my emails show on my iPhone XS. Since yesterday a big chunk of my emails doesn’t show up on my iPhone. Yet it says I have hundreds in the in box unread and only a few of my old emails are showing plus ones from yesterday and today.

Did you try to remove your email account and add i again

(mabye something get corrupted on your email account on the phone)
