WhatsApp Hang

Please see the attachment. I used to enjoy the WhatsApp on Mac but now since about ten days or so, it does not connect. Can you help me please? See below in the photo shot below, where it is stuck. There is no problem on the Samsung Note 5 phone, which I am using. WhatsApp on Mac was connected with this phone.
