Strava Workout and Apple Watch work out records overlaps with each other.

I came back from a run and the run was recorded using Strava app on apple watch. I didn't take my phone with me.

I found something strange in the health app,

In the picture below, strava recorded a 3.8km workout that ended on 10:47pm.

and if you look underneath it, apple watch recorded its own workout (distance) for the same duration of time.

Can anyone able to share their knowledge on how this could have happened or why?
