Album artwork not displaying on iPod Nano Gen 6, despite working on iTunes

Hi all,

I am having difficulty recently having my iPod Nano Gen 6 displaying album artwork that I have manually put onto my music files. I very carefully curate my iPod, never syncing with my iTunes music folder, and manually drag + drop music files onto my iPod in order to edit their album artwork later. Recently with new iTunes updates, the music when played from my iPod does not show the album artwork at all. However, if I have my iPod connected to my PC and play the same track from iTunes, I can see that it displays the artwork just fine.

Somewhere along the line I believe, the iPod is no longer showing the album artwork that used to work fine.

If anyone has a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated!
