Reboot your iOS device and try setting up the HomePod again. See Reset HomePod - Apple Support. See also Set up and use HomePod - Apple Support and make sure you meet the requirements in the Get started section.

Take a look at If you can’t set up HomePod - Apple Support if you haven't already done so. I've seen a suggestion elsewhere to remove the Home and Music apps from the iOS device, reboot, then reinstall them and try again.

Are you using the same Apple ID for iTunes and iCloud? Have you tried leaving enable personal requests off during set up? Is there more than one WiFi network visible to your iPhone that you can log into automatically? If there is only one then both devices should join it. If they can potentially join different ones that might cause a problem.

If nothing else works reach out to Apple Support. Please post back any helpful advice they might have.

Exactly the same thing happen to me and I don’t know how to bypass this annoying setup error(301014) either.

This is a serious issue because Homepod is completely useless with this Error and there is zero explanation from apple about it.

Please if anyone from apple or any homepod owner reach to this annoying Error code(301014) during the setup, and have a solution to solve or bypass it, reply to this thread, thanks.

ن ر چی تلاش کردم این کد خطارو میگیره که اشاره کردی و تمام کار هایی که تو انجام دادی رو منم انجام دادم و عنواع وی پی ان هارو چک کرم ولی متاسفانه موفق نشدم

I will supply the modem and try to set up my home pod.
Only one question.Are you sure that the code 301014 is related to modem or it can be related to i cloud too?
Because my i cloud is for USA region and till now I didn't have any problem with them.

There might be something wrong with your iTunes account. Try downloading an app from the App Store and see if that works. Then try HomePod setup again.
