iPhone 6 Three UK 'No Service'

Model: iPhone 6

Network: Three UK

Bought second hand, manufacturer refurbished, was unused since then until purchased by myself.

Currently, and for the past few weeks, there has been 'no service' whatsoever.

I believe it -did- work at first, unsure when or how it started.

On Three PAYG, with credit in the account.

Will connect via 'Wifi Call' feature, turning this off does nothing.

Have two other phones on Three in house, one an iPhone 8 Plus and an HTC phone, both have a consistent 2+ bar reception. Both also PAYG. Never had any issues before this.

Occasionally 1 bar of signal may come on for a few moments, though randomly and do not seem to be as a response to trying something.

Have factory reset device, same issue.

Tested another Three Sim in the phone, same issue.

Any suggestions for what to try next? Fairly new to Apple devices, closest Apple store is 20 miles away, so wanting to leave that as a last resort.

Thanks!

I couldn't answer that, since I'm not from the UK. Not all retail outlets use Apple to refurbish devices. Either way, you can check to see if you have warranty service by entering your serial number here, Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support

Even if you do not, Apple will still examine the device and make service recommendations for you. And I know a lot of people that would jump for joy if they had an Apple Store that close! Good luck.

That was what he said when selling it. Still had the protective covering on the device when it arrived.

Though, I believe it was in a 'Carphone Warehouse' box, would they outsource to Apple, or do their own in-house refurbishments?

Thanks for the link, I will give it a read through and will respond on whether or not I find a solution.

Thanks!

Ran through everything on the support page and it doesn't seem like the problem I am having is listed. I had actually looked at that page prior to posting. I even compared settings, such as which carrier version, with my own iPhone which has no problems. No significant differences whatsoever. The annoying thing was that while I was trying out all of this, I had reception the entire time. Shortly after that, it faded completely.

When it randomly gets a signal there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, factors such as location have no impact whatsoever. Whenever it's user tried to use it out and about, there is no service, which in the case of an emergency is not ideal. What good is a phone if it doesn't work when you need it the most?

Any suggestions or ideas on what could be causing the sporadic, and largely nonexistent reception?

Also checked the warranty status and it is still covered until the end of the year.
