Message alert
When one of my contacts sends me a text message I am not getting notified

Make sure that you don't accidentally have them put on 'Do Not Disturb.' Go to the general Messages list and find their entry. Then swipe from left to right (don't accidentally delete them—a small swipe should do it). If the purple options button says 'Show Alerts' then you can click it to receive notifications from them again! 🙂
