Getting “Sign-in Required” message for email

Why am I getting a “Sign-in Required” message for my email even though I haven’t changed my email password recently and my current password is set and works? This issue started in the last few days. It also seems to be affecting my email box because Deleted emails will repopulate into my mailbox the next time I open it.

I have all updates and current iOS is 11.2.6.
