Bought a new iphone, wanted to migrate whatsapp to the new iphone. Backed up the old iphone through Itunes, restored the backup on new iphone. After redtore new iphone only shows group chats that were created by me
can anyone help to get all chat history and media?

this worked for me! :)
assuming you have itunes backup of old iphone.
1) activate the new iphone.
2) add the itunes account on the new iphone
3) download whatsapp on the new iphone and dont open it.
4) restore iphone backup to the new iphone.
5) after restore, you may need to redownload whatsapp, wait for it to reinstall.
6) open whatsapp and activate and verify your phone number.
7)voila! whatsapp is restored with all its media and chat history.
