Apple id

Hi, I have just received a message from ‘apple’ saying my Apple ID is due to expire and I need to confirm my ID by following a link. When I click on the link it takes me to a page that is not on the apple site, and there’s no lock in the search bar... Unsure if it’s a con or genuine?

It is a phishing scam. Apple IDs do not expire.

Apple will always address you by your name or the name they have on file for you and the e-mail will be from @apple.com or @iTunes.com. E-mail addresses can be spoofed. You can go to Mail/View/Message/Show all Headers to see more.
