Error Code -70017

I have a 10 year old Mac Pro tower I’m connecting to, remotely.

As such?

I have no connected monitor

Whe I try and use the DVDS player on the machine, I get an Error Code -70017 dialogue

Why am I getting this?

How do I solve it?

(I don’t want to use it to watch DVDs: merely to check on the length and titles of the contents.)
