Question: Unable to be heard - iPhone 7

Having checked mic settings, the only way a caller can hear me is by plugging in headset. Not always convenient and can see that many are reporting this fault. Advice/update please

Guido... as I said, I have checked the mic settings. Recording a Voice Memo is also very muffled and exactly as callers describe - calls and Voice Memos on ear-buds are perfect. So many iPhone 7 users having this problem.

It's ridiculous to have a phone that can't be used without earbuds

Well, Stu, I know that what I'm going to tell you won't be helpful, but as a matter of interest I'm using an iP7 with iOS 11.2.6 and everything is working fine.

That being said, and knowing that you have already checked your settings and read the troubleshooting steps provided in my previous link about mics, it's difficult for us to give you an appropriate answer remotely. We are just users like yourself.

I would suggest that you contact your most convenient Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider and have your device inspected. They will diagnose the issue and give you all the availble options.

Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Kind Regards

Thanks Giulio.... the thing is, there are many people reporting this problem so am not sure why Apple have not done anything.

Anyway, I appreciate your advice and, if someone from Apple reads this, do get in touch ! 🙂
