How can I have my screen rotate when I rotate my phone. I can’t find anything in settings to do this

Some apps don't support rotation and on the non Plus size iPhones the Home screens will not rotate.

One example of an app that should rotate is Messages. If that isn't rotating on your iPhone, it may be that orientation lock is turned on. You can open Control Center (swipe up starting below the bottom of the home screen). Orientation lock is the icon that looks like a lock partially surrounded by a semi-circular arrow.
