older iPod issues

My mini iPod has been in constant use since I bought it new 5 years ago. It charges fine and seems to use battery power as long as it always has. The issue just started with websites suddenly quitting, reverting to the home page. Also, at times I cannot scroll the page up or down and many videos embedded on a web page won’t load or play. Today I tried to check for software upgrades and it just spins. Are these end of life issues or should I blame comcast.? My MacBook Pro seems to work fine and does‘t have these issues so I suspect the iPod first.

I take it you are referring to an iPad mini.

Try resetting the device first to see if that resolves the issue.

You could also Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

Or see If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support to reset the network configuration.

Or backup the device, making sure that you have exported any photos and have all the media from it stored locally on your computer, then restore it first as new device, then restore your backup.
