Problem with Apple Mail

The last time that I use Apple Mail I eliminated the mails in the Junk Mail Folder the app crashed, now every time that I try to start it, the app crashed at 5 seconds.

It looks like I will have to accept that Apple Mail doesn't work for me and I will be forced to switch to something else. Does anyone have a recommended alternative?
