iPhone 5c iOS 10.3.3 is fully charged but suddenly screen goes black, showing an almost empty battery icon. Only way I can get phone back on is to plug in it‘s cable to the wall. Has happened about 8 times Several days apart. What’s happening?
It sounds like a hardware (battery) problem. I suggest the quickest way to get this resolved is to make an appointment at a Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you. Or contact Apple Support. Either way:

They have diagnostics available to them that should be able to troubleshoot your problem. And there should be no charge for the diagnostic service.
Thanks. Genius Bar says the battery is fine. They said only option is to wipe/reset phone. Do you think that will solve this problem? Is this a common problem? I also wish someone knew if these sudden shutdowns are leading up to my phone totally crashing. The option for me to buy another is not possible.
