Why does my iPhone 6 (that I got 2 yrs ago) battery dying at around 60%??

It tells me to plug it in, but I try to hold down the power and home button for 10 sec but it wont work. It has been going on for several weeks and idk what to do!!! Idk if theres something wrong with the battery or what

I tried searching for an answer and saw a few articles about recalibrating the battery, which I tried, but couldn't do properly because I can never fully drain the battery. It reaches 15%, switches off, I charge it enough to turn it back on but then it indicates it's at something like 24%. I begin using it to run the battery down completely and within a minute or so it dies again. And then every attempt is just a repeat of that. So I'm not sure what else to do. Bad Battery? OR Over charged battery? Okay so I’ve had my iPhone for almost a year coming up in June. So Very recently my phone has been dying really quickly, by quickly I mean I have to bring a charger with me whenever I go places. For example, one day I was on my way to school and when I got there I was on my phone, within 10 min my phone died on 100%. So I held down the power button and it turned on but when it turned on it was on 10%. It does this all the time. So I just need help from my fellow techys on how to fix this. Thank You!

iPhone 6 battery dying Hi! So I just started using my older iPhone 6 phone due to having to sell my 8 plus but the battery keeps dying at 25-50% and won’t turn back on until it charged for a while. What’s going on?

What's most likely wrong is the battery has reached the end of its usable life and needs to be replaced.
