Apple Watch v3 and iPhone 8 / wireless bluetooth

ive seen this posted about before, but it was a couple of years ago. I’ve been having a lot of problems with my Bluetooth headset cutting out/not being able to hear the other person or vice verse, and so I threw it away and bought a new headset today thinking that maybe it was just old and worn out, but I hooked up my new headset to my phone and received a call, and the same thing kept happening. Now I’m assuming it has something to do with my watch, as I’ve never had this problem before. I live on my headset, so I can’t give that up. Is there anyway to get them to play nice, or will I have to give up my apple watch? 😟
