iMovie Crashes On Startup (High Sierra)

I have iMovie on my 11-inch MacBook Air (2015). Ever since the High Sierra update, iMovie has been buggy, but recently (10.13.3) it just won’t open. When I open iMovie, it says “validating iMovie library” then freezes and as soon as I click something it crashes.

I’m not very “techie” so I am not sure of what specs or info I should include, but I don’t have an external screen and I have over 80 GB of storage left (I have a lot of videos on iMovie). Additionally, I reset my computer every week so My computer ISN’T slow and DOESN’T crash applications.

Please help!

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), null
