macOS high sierra 10.13.3 messages out of order

I am running macOS 10.13.3 on a late 2012 MacBook Pro 13" with Retina display. In Messages two old message threads stay pinned at the top. I do not want to delete these important threads. All other message threads show chronologically correctly. These message threads are displaying correctly on my iPhones. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Messages app on High Sierra makes new messages appear at top instead of bottom Since upgrading to OSX 10.13.3 my messages in the Messages app are appearing out of order. If I post a new message, it appears above all the old ones and is sometimes missed by the person I'm sending them to. Is there a fix for this? Seems to work fine on my iPhone. 2019 MacPro Messages not working Just got a refurb 2019 MacPro, and restored from my Time Machine. Messages worked fine on the 2010 MacPro. Messages has not received any new messages, though I regularly get them on my phone. Online suggestions are to log out and back in, but that no longer appears possible, or at least I can't find the command to do so in preferences or anywhere else. Also, even though the phone numbers are in my contacts, Messages displays many contacts bu number, not name!
