iMessage and FaceTime getting activated with old number

I have tried almost everything and found the below post similar to my issue. And the pathetic thing is till date it don't have an accurate solution. It is totally annoying when we see our iMessage or FaceTime is linked to some phone number which we no longer have access to. I believe this is a serious security issue too. With this I can't use two stunning feature of iPhone and cant say how bad I feel now 😟 😠. Any working solution is appreciated.

Unable to change Phone Number for Imessage and facetime First, I changed my number and when I went to change it for iCloud it said for me to turn off iMessage and Facetime to delete the number. I did that and then I turned it back on and it tried connecting to my old number. So I turn it both off again and restarted my phone. When it turned on it told me to sign in to my Apple ID to use for my iMessage I do that and it says unable to connect to iMessage servers but than my Facetime got activated and tried to connect to my old number but it didn’t have my new number. I ran out of ideas. I need help! Thanks
