Why doesn’t my Apple Watch series 3 let me change to any custom faces?

In the Apple Watch app on the phone I can’t choose a custom photo face, it just doesn’t sync to my watch what can I do?

Unable to Change Apple Watch 6 Face from iPhone 12 Pro Max I am unable to change the Apple Watch face and/or complications from my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Even downloading a new watch face from the face gallery - it won't change on the watch after tapping Set as Current Watch Face. Watch Face I customized a watch face for my Apple Watch but it disappears every morning. If I have my phone with me it’s no problem to change it back…. irritating but no problem. Is there a fix for this?
