iMessages deleting themselves
i have recently switched from Samsung to iPhone 8 plus.
imessage are deleting the oldest message every time I send or receive a new one.
can anyone offer a solution to this please?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue with your older messages deleting when you send a new one and I am happy you help out! First, I suggest going to Settings > Messages > Keep Messages and then choosing to option of Forever if it’s not already selected. Next, check out this article with steps for How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and close the Messages app. Once that is done, Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch then check to see if you are still noticing the issues.
