My cameroll decided to mix up everything, so all of my pictures are no longer in order. What do i do?

I have an iPhone 8, but this also happened to several previous iPhones of mine. I tried to delete som photos from my phone, thinking i could just restore them from my computer (in iCloud) but it resulted in 3000 pictures and videos getting lost. I am in desperate need of some help:’)
