Unfortunately, there are same scales that have different names and different structures, and different scales that have the same name and structure, and it is a rather confusing matter.

Yeah, I tried, the info is in the linked Wikipedia articles, in the links to the individual Japanese scales.I only looked at the three first ones, at a glance it seemed they weren't it. But it also says that there is confusion over names, so that's where I had to quit. Maybe the Logic devs have just called it "Japanese" to avoid that existing confusion?

Just looked again, and it seems it is a mode of the Hirajoshi scale.

Looked again again, and I'd say it is Hirajoshi, in Lydian mode.
