Apple ID and two factor verification

I use Firefox for my web browsing. Whenever I log onto Apple I get the same request for my Apple ID email/password and this then leads to a dialog claiming this is a new device and subsequently a new browser. Each dialog has to be answered - I particularly like the question - do you trust this browser? The answer is always yes.

This is an annoying waste of time - has anyone found a solution to this?

Two Factor Authentication Just about every time I log onto icloud/this forum, etc. I am prompted for two-factor authentication on my personal laptop. The weird thing is it sends the code/permission to my personal laptop. So my laptop is alerting me that it is trying to use my apple ID, then asks me if it has permission, then sends the code to itself for me to then type in the browser. What is the point of this?

Two factor authentication pops up on the same device When I login to this site, my Apple ID is requested. The two facto authentication triggers, but I am asked for a code and being shown the code on the same macbook I am working on, I attach the screenshot of what I see. This does not seem to add any extra security. How can I repair it or switch it off?
