enable dictation on iPhone other then English
I have iPhone 6s, iOS updated. neither email, nor messages, nor Google Hangouts let me dictate in language other then English.
I have the keyboard settings to the different language and that language is activated (by clicking on the "globe") when I want to dictate in different language. the other language is added under "language & region"
Under Settings/General/Keyboards, Apple has "enable dictation" under the section "English." Dictation is enables, but there is no option to add dictation besides "English."
it also has a disclaimer on the bottom of the same screen saying "you can use dictation for english when you are not connected to the Internet."
I am on the Internet and my previous Android phone WILL let me dictate in a foreign language. But not iPhone. Apple seems seriously behind Android and probably Windows in that area
all suggestins such as:
Changing dictation (spoken) language
this page deals explicitly with Chinese users, who live in China. but does not address Americans, who live in the states, don't want to change the "regional settings" but need to use different language, which is not of the "popular" ones: e.g. Spanish, French etchttp://in5stepstutorials.com/iphone-ipad/dictate-text-in-different-language-on-i phone-ipad.php
