Do you get Voice Directions on Maps on Apple Watch Series 4

I recently used Apple Maps on my IPhone 6S while holidaying in NZ and found it really excellent and would highly re ommend same.

I am considering buying the Apple Watch Series 4 and would appreciate some info.. does it give directions via Speech?

Am I correct in that it will allow you take a call provided your Phone is in close proximity.

Any other tips appreciated.

Yes your watch can allow you to take calls if your iPhone is nearby! As for directions, if you use Apple Maps, after setting up your itinerary on your phone, your Watch will let you know when you need to take a turn, exit a highway etc.
