“iPad is disabled, try again in an hour” message

cannot access iPad Pro, keep getting the message “ipad is disabled, try again in a hour” if I press skeep/wake button with the home button, wait for the apple, then release, then if any time has elapsed out of that hour, it resets and I’m back to having to wait an hour. It doesn’t do it on my ipad air2. I wonder if there are any known issues with the Logitech slim combo that the iPad Pro 12.9 (v2017) case with the smart connector? Any suggestions? Also, periodically, itunes will begin playing in the background with the case closed and I hadn’t accessed iTunes in weeks. Ideas?

Hey debbranson4,

I can see that you're getting an error message on your device stating that your iPad Pro is disabled for a certain frame but you're unable to regain access. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction to help you regain access to your iPad.

To start, does iTunes begin to play even when your iPad shows that it is disabled? Have you tried disconnecting the keyboard and see if you'e able to enter your passcode on the iPad itself after that time frame has passed? If you enter the wrong passcode on an iOS device six times in a row, you'll be locked out and a message will say that your device is disabled. However, you can learn how to regain access with the information in the following link below.

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
