emailing a group
I have my contacts in several different groups. How can I send an email to everyone in the group without having to choose each name individually?

I have several groups I have created in my contacts. Examples: Church, Family, Retirees. I assume you meant I should type the name of the group in the To: section. Correct? When I try that, I get a pop up that says that name is not in my contacts. I have a group in my contacts and it has the same name I’m trying to use in my email. So I am confused.
Do you mean to press & hold in order to drag the group name to the To: line? That doesn’t work. When I try that, I’m not able to drag the group name any where. It won’t move. I am using my iPad Pro with everything updated. Does that make a difference that I’m not using a Mac computer?
Yes. Then you should have placed your question in the iPad forum instead of here, the Mountain Lion forum. Mountain Lion has nothing to do with an iPad. It would have helped to have mentioned that in your original post. Then we could have arranged to have it moved for you.
I can't help because I don't use iPads.
You are welcome.
When you want to send a new e-mail, if you tap the + surrounded by a circle on the right side of the To line, that should bring up your contacts. At the top left should be Groups. Tap that. If you then tap the desired Group, will it load in the To line?
I'll ask the hosts to move your post.
Put the Group on the To: line just as you would a single person.
I tried that, but it doesn’t work.
What happens when you try it? Exactly, how are you doing it? Do you have a proper group created in Contacts?
No, what I meant was to select a group, such as Church, from your list in Groups. Drag the selection to the To: field of a new message window in Mail.
Sorry, I didn’t realize I was in the wrong forum.
Thank you
