Final Cut Pro - Saving project via Apple ProRes 422

I typically create many movies in Final Cut Pro - version 10.4.

I usually save as Apple ProRes 422 to the desktop, then burn via Toast to a BluRay.

It is somehow not saving the project as it used to - where I would see the first frame of the movie - I could double click on it - and it would play via Quicktime.

Now it shows as this icon - and won't properly play back. Including screen shot of a project that worked, and the one that does not.

Any ideas how to fix this?
