Apple Watch unpaired and locked

my Apple Watch has been unpaired and locked. I cannot unlock the watch as it says unlock the phone first. On phone it says watch is not paired. I tried factory reset by connecting to charger but nothing happens as watch goes in night display mode. Help please

Apple watch unlock issues I am having a strange issue with my Apple Watch (Series 1). The watch is locked and I can't seem to unlock it. I have unpaired the watch from my phone, but the watch still seems to be locked! It advices me to unlock it from my phone, which it is not paired with! I have tried the hard reset - put watch on charger press down on the side button until the power off screen appears firmly press on the power off button without sliding (sliding isn't active when the watch is charging!) problem is nothing happens when I press on the power off button! All the instructions say that when I press firmly, the reset option should appear, but nothing seems to happen! Help please...the apple watch is currently unusable.. Thanks, much appreciated.
