Assigning Weights (Math Calculation with Apple Numbers)
Hi Friends,
I am trying to do the following and it's easier said than done.
STORY: There are 10 assignments (quizzes, tests, etc). Now, first 5 assignments are worth total of 25% of students grade with each assignment having 25% higher importance (higher weight) than the first one. The first 5 assignments with their corresponding weights will be worth a total of 25% of students grade. The remaining 5 assignments (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) will each be worth 75% than previous assignment, but the sum of all assignments (1-10) will total 100.
Assignments | Importance |
---|---|
1 | |
2 | 25% higher than assignment 1 |
3 | 25% higher than assignment 2 |
4 | 25% higher than assignment 3 |
5 | 25% higher than assignment 4 |
6 | 75% higher than assignment 5 |
7 | 75% higher than assignment 6 |
8 | 75% higher than assignment 7 |
9 | 75 % higher than assignment 8 |
10 | 75% higher than assignment 9 |
Does anyone have any idea how to calculate this in Apple Numbers?
