Icloud: 'look me up by email'?

OS High Sierra 10.13.3

When you go into settings> icloud>icloud drive on my MacBook pro, (doesn't show up on my iPhone or iPad)---under look me up by email what does the below mean?

com.apple.preferences.iCloud.remote service

com.apple.cloudkit
