iOS version update

My iPad requires iOS v10 at least for yahoo app. When I check for updates from it, it has a 9.5.5 version and says there are no more updates available. How can I get iOS version 10 or the latest iOS on my iPad?

The iOS update system will always only offer the most recent available iOS release for the hardware the system detects.

So if you have iOS 9.3.5 and no further updates are indicated, then that is the most recent available iOS release for your device and hardware.
