system files

system files are taking up 240Gb on my hard drive is 250Gb. With the automatic program that comes with Sierra System files cannot be deleted .so how do I free up space on the drive.

Every time I Free up space by deleting files, Drive becomes full after a couple of restarts, with no data being save by me.

How do I delete files from System Data My storage is full and when I delete files they appear in System Data, I cannot download any program to help free up space or clean up my Mac because my disk is full. I have also tried to transfer files to an external hard drive and that has failed as well.

iMac System Files Too Large iMac Retina 5K Mid 2015 running macOS High Sierra v. 10.13.5 reporting 394 gb of system files, 352 gb of iOS files using a 1 Terabyte hard drive. Is that normal? How to free up some space? I have already purchased iCloud space and two 4 Tb external drives. Thank you.
