Iphoto incompatible with Yosemite

Unable to update iPhoto in App Store to make compatible with Yosemite on IMAC. Get the following:This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled. Can't download photos from iPhone to IMAC.

You’re supposed to use Photos instead.

If you need to use iPhoto and previously got it from the Mac App Store, put the existing copy of it in a location Spotlight doesn’t index, log into the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID, and click on the Purchases tab.
