Airplay

Hi for a while now I haven't had the airplay symbol on my Mac my iPad and iPhone it just disappeared

I do not have apple tv. so can't follow some of the instructions online to help achieve airplay mirroring

i was but able to access iTunes from the above devices and play music

throughout the house through inbuilt speakers

I have read that the update to iOS 11 caused that problem with other people

could this be true?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Airplay output from your device requires an Airplay capable device to receive the signal. No Airplay symbol seen means no Airplay receiver is detected.

This is not an iOS update issue if you do not have any hardware capable of receiving an Airplay stream.

It sounds like you are using Home Sharing with iTunes to play music. This is not the same as Airplay.
