There are photos showing in Moments that I want to permanently delete. But the trashcan icon is greyed out. Any idea how I can delete those photos in Moments. Even when I scroll down there is no delete option. Thank you in advance for the solution.

I finally solved it. The solution is go to settings / iCloud / Photos / iCloud Photo Library. Turn on iCloud Photo Library. This will delete all unwanted photos/videos. You can turn off iCloud Photo LIbrary after if you do not want it on.
The Photos in the path above after iCloud does not have to be on.
